The Highlander tournament is based off of a unit composition system that has started to pop up in some tournaments. The term Highlander refers to the movie/TV franchise and its catch phrase "There can be only one". Details of the composition rules are in the rules packet, but the basic idea is that your army cannot have more than one "copy" of the same unit (Troops have an exception). You will have to rely on a wide variety of different units to weave together a strategy. You cannot simply take multiple copies of the same unit and hammer them down your opponents throat.
